BEHIND THE LENS

My name is Eleni Alexandri, and I originally come from Greece. 

All my life, I have been trying to express myself through art and find creative outlets; this led to photography and, more specifically, Leica Akademie Greece.

I was lucky to train in photography, learn the fundamental techniques of the field, and be one of the last cohorts to engage with film and get into the darkroom. Watching a blank page turn into a photograph and reveal itself under the chemicals is the closest thing I have experienced to magic!

Although my life took a different route, and I am not a professional photographer by occupation, photography still holds a unique place in my heart. 

This web page is a digital portfolio, to 'frame' my favorite pictures. 

As for my short run in the industry, my proudest moment was when Vogue Italia chose two of my photos for an online competition, and allowed me to open a profile on their website.
